Dave Brenton

Dave Brenton was inducted into the Slo-Pitch National Hall of Fame – Builder Category, on Saturday, October 28th at the SPN Annual General Meeting.

Dave is the 9th member to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, the highest honour bestowed by Slo-Pitch National.

Dave has been involved with Slo-Pitch National for 18 years, and started as the Provincial Umpire In Chief where he worked setting up province wide umpires clinics in Newfoundland and registering umpires. Dave was appointed to the Regional Director position in 1992. As the Newfoundland Regional Director, Dave has attended every National Annual General Meeting, and Annual Regional Director Meeting. He has overseen 6 national Championship Tournaments hosted in Newfoundland and traveled to Halifax, Niagara Falls, Calgary and British Columbia as the SPN representative at the National Championships. Dave has also served on the SPN Board of Governors as the Chairman for one year.

In Newfoundland, Dave oversees a provincial tournament program of 30 annual events and 9 categories of Provincial Championships. He is proud of the fact that Newfoundland has always been represented at the National Championships by traveling and hosting teams and will continue to encourage teams to participate at the National Championship level.

Dave credits his success with the SPN program in Newfoundland to a group of dedicated personnel who assist in running the region’s programs. SPN would like to congratulate Dave Brenton on his induction into the Hall of Fame Builder Category.
