Connie was introduced to the game of slo-pitch in the 80’s, she played out of Surrey, as well as Burnaby (Riverway Park). Connie never really had a team to call home, so she floated and went wherever she was needed. Connie ended up playing with ‘Weeds Wackers’ with some close friends and that is where she holds some of her fondest memories.
Connie moved to the Fraser Valley in the 90’s and was given the opportunity to play in the Abbotsford Ladies League. Along with some close friends, Connie built ‘Docksteader Sports’ Ladies team. The accomplishments of this team is not only something Connie holds near and dear to her heart but she is extremely proud to be a part of this club. In the years that the team has played together the ladies team has places 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the SPN National Championships & 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the SPN BC Provincial Championships. Connie’s love and passion for this great game is what keeps her coming back year, after year.
