Covid March 30 Update

March 30, 2020

To all our members

Slo-Pitch National will continue to operate virtually while our National and Regional Offices remain temporarily closed amid the Covid 19 health crisis. Staff are working remotely from home to answer your emailed questions and phone calls.

At this time we have suspended issuing insurance certificates to cover any sanctioned activities until further notice.  We have halted the use of courier and all shipping until further notice.

All scheduled events have been temporarily cancelled until further notice. This includes tournaments, umpire clinics and all regional meetings. We are hopeful that this is a temporary measure and that we can resume our summer programs in the months to come.

Our online registration systems remain open, and our 2020 Umpire Exam is still accessible at

We will continue to be available to you by email and through our social media platforms, providing our members with weekly updates as they pertain to and affect our programs across Canada. Our Regional Directors will meet each week to review and assess this situation as it unfolds.

We are confident that all of our members are adhering to the important social distancing measures and guidelines that have been mandated within the different regions across Canada. This means to halt group meetings and team practices. Facilities including sports parks across Canada are closed.

Your understanding and support is appreciated as we work hard to do our part to help keep everyone safe during this global pandemic.

At this time we would like to take a moment to acknowledge all of the health care workers, emergency responders, supply chain workers and transportation providers that are working tirelessly for us to carry on our limited day to day existences. Thank you for your service during these unprecedented times.

Remember – you are not stuck at home – you are safe at home!
