Ontario Region Covid 19 update

The Ontario Region of Slo-Pitch National in accordance with the Phase 3 Restrictions on Gatherings regretfully announces the cancellation of the 2020 Ontario Provincial Championships in all Locations.

During Phase 3, all outdoor gatherings and events are limited to 100 people. The limits pertain to the entire event/facility where the event is being hosted. The 100 people limit is not specific to an individual diamond, and this was clarified by the Ontario Minister of Sport after the Phase 3 restrictions were announced earlier this week.
Slo-Pitch National will work with local leagues and conveners to establish a Stay Local and Play Local program for the balance of the 2020 season focusing on smaller league play and events that can stay within the 100 person limits currently in place.
We have all sacrificed many of the past times and events that we all enjoyed to fight against this pandemic, we hope that our participants understand that by cancelling these major events, we take this situation very seriously and are doing our part to adhere to the Government mandated guidelines to help aid in a recovery that will allow us to get back to normal for the 2021 season.

If restrictions change in the coming months, new events or the return of old annual events may take place, but the stance from SPN Ontario Region is that we must always adhere to the Provincial Guidelines.

Slo-Pitch Ontario and Slo-Pitch National have today suspended all Provincial Tournament Programs in the Province of Ontario.

This decision was based on the Government of Ontario's restrictions on travel and gathering sizes in facilities, along with the consideration of the health, safety and well-being of all of our Members.

Each Association will provide more detailed information to their Members as it becomes available.
